The Present

Our Continuing Mission

ToneTag™ has advanced miles beyond what was planned at the beginning. The original edition used a MQTT connection between the remote and badge. Now, a unique link can be made between the devices that bonds them for use at any time and will only respond to the commands of one user. A major difference in the devices is how the information is sent to the other person. Originally the device was only visual but later changed to directly sending a message to the brain of the other person. The major benefit in this has been the signal being universal and adapting to the brain patterns it comes in contact with. The signal can change to how the person can best understand the signal, such as audio or text in the language the person is best accustomed with. Additionally, newer devices can analyze both verbal and nonverbal communication and then show the emotion or tone that a person displays. It can be useful for people who have difficulty understanding others' feelings in conversation and people who struggle to convey their own feelings.  The first devices relied on solely user input. Within 10 years our company was able to improve the design through AI. The new versions have local machine learning systems that use input from phones or other devices to learn about the person’s range of emotions and tone.

ToneTag™ has helped countless people through being able to express who they are to a greater range of people. Teachers have noted that autistic students with ToneTag have been able to make friends more easily by having something that can assist them with displaying emotions they may not have the words or actions to express. Better discussions have been able to happen from understanding what the other side means to come to a solution that benefits all. When someone else is feeling down, other people can figure out what they can do for them without the person needing to expend energy trying and failing to explain.

In being understood, they are accepted.
